OGIO EVP Harlan Gardiner announced the appointment of Luke Edgar to the newly created position of director of sales/Packs and Duffels Division. Edgar, who most recently served Atomic Snowboarding USA as its director of sales and general manager, is renowned for his vision, management expertise, and personal relationship with the action sports market.

“Luke’s personality, his drive, and his enthusiasm for our market just screams OGIO,” Gardiner says. “He’s the kind of guy whose passion for the brand will be contagious among our reps, and with our customers. Luke’s ready to take his experience to a broader platform, and we’re real excited to have him on board.”

Edgar will report to Harlan Gardiner. Ken Tincher, OGIO’s sales manager for packs and duffels, will report to Edgar and continue to manage key account sales.

Edgar started snowboarding and competing in the 80’s and was a regional rider for K2. In 1992, he subsequently was recruited to an in-house sales position and worked his way up the ranks until being appointed sales and brand manager in 1998. Four years later, he joined Atomic Snowboards USA to oversee worldwide branding, marketing and product distribution. In just two years, he helped grow the company’s product offerings more than 20 times and distribution points by nearly 200 percent.

“It’s been an exciting time at Atomic,” Edgar explains. “Big things are happening-which makes it difficult to leave. But at the same time, the opportunity to work with OGIO is irresistible. Here, I can apply my 14 years of success to a broader category, and do so with a group of like-minded action sports people. I love to work with innovative companies that are different and creative. OGIO has it.”
