Eddie Bauer Holdings Inc. has hired Scott Hutsenpiller as VP, outerwear design. Hutsenpiller is an award-winning design director with over 15 years experience as a senior designer.
Most recently, he was responsible for the design of two alpine ski collections for Spyder Active Sports, Inc. Before that, he spent four years as director of design and product innovation for Eastern Mountain Sports. Between 1996 and 2004, Hutsenpiller worked with Nike Inc in two roles: advanced design director for the NikeACG/Global Apparel business from 2000 to 2004 and senior product designer from 1996 to 2000. Hutsenpiller has also held design roles at Tommy Hilfiger, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Patagonia.

As an inducement to join the company, Hutsenpiller was granted, effective Sept. 29, 2008, 4,250 restricted stock units that will become 100% vested at the conclusion of four years of service, and options to purchase 12,750 shares of common stock, vesting ratably over four years and priced at the closing price of the company’s common stock on Sept. 29, 2008.
