Easton Sports has agreed to a three-year deal with the Little League World Series (LLWS) that makes Easton the official shoe of the event through 2009. The partnership, which kicks off June 1, 2006, brings together two staples of youth baseball and gives both partners an opportunity to further increase their involvement in the athletic development of America’s youth, according to Mike Zlaket, vice president of Easton’s baseball/softball division.

“Our footwear line has grown tremendously over the last several years, and we’ve been looking for ways to increase our awareness even further and introduce even more people to our products,” said Zlaket. “The LLWS is a huge event and its popularity has grown exponentially each year, so we thought it was a perfect fit. We’re looking forward to doing a variety of events and demos onsite as well as incorporating the partnership in our marketing plans. We’re really excited about our shoe line and we feel that the youth market as well as other baseball fans will be impressed by the cleats and training shoes we’ve developed.”

As part of the agreement, Easton will provide Little League Baseball with cleats for players and coaches during the LLWS as well as for Little League Baseball’s Urban Initiative.
