In lieu of Rossignol/Quiksilver’s larger plan to focus on the growth of each business unit within the global organization, Rossignol has promoted Pierre Langlois to VP Sales and Marketing, Hard Goods Division – Canada. Pierre will oversee all sales and marketing aspects for the Alpine, Snowboard and Nordic divisions of Canada.

Langlois, who was first employed by Rossignol in 1989, was most recently the Alpine Marketing Director. He has extensive experience within the snow sports industry and is an avid skier and outdoorsman. “Pierre has tons of energy and creativity and his enthusiasm for snow sports will be a tremendous asset to lead our Canadian sales force and marketing team, states Francois Goulet, President Rossignol Group North America.

“I look forward to the challenge of growing the Hard Goods Division within Canada and will work closely with the North American marketing team located at the Mountain Center in Park City, Utah to reach that goal, ” states Langlois.

In addition to Langlois’ promotion, Rossignol Canada will be actively recruiting a VP Sales and Marketing for the newly formed Rossignol Soft Goods Division. This person will work closely with France Lessard, Rossignol’s Soft Goods Product Manager to aggressively grow this segment of the business in Canada. This re-structuring is in line with Rossignol’s new direction of becoming a global mountain lifestyle brand anchored in its snow sport heritage with ambitions to be a leading player in all segments of mountain sports.

At the same time, Hilary Hartley, Sales Manager, Rossignol Canada, has made the decision to pursue other opportunities.
