Eastern Mountain Sports has partnered with Adventureus.com to launch a new adventure travel feature (ems.adventureus.com) on ems.com.

The outdoor retailer said the new feature makes it easy for users to search for the best guided adventures from the top outfitters around the world. The interface features full trip profiles, rich media, gear recommendations, and direct links to outfitters to book trips.

Each trip profile includes relevant gear recommendations specifically tailored to the associated trip; users are then able to purchase the gear from Eastern Mountain Sports' online store at the same time they are booking the trip. Building on a proven correlation between adventure travel and gear purchases, these new features add a compelling component to ems.com.

The trip data set at launch features over 300 trips from top outfitters from around the world.  Users can easily sort the trips by price, or find trips related to their favorite activities or destinations.  Rich media in the form of photos from Flickr and videos from YouTube, as well as blog articles from featured travel writers, help inspire trip bookings. Each trip listing comes complete with full trip descriptions, itineraries, and a carousel of photos from the outfitter. Users can either call the outfitter or fill out a reservation request form to book trips.
