The Wild Sheep Foundation (WSF) announces that Buddy DuVall is joining the Wild Sheep Foundation staff serving the Foundation and its mission as executive vice president of development. The former executive director of the USA Shooting Team Foundation, and a former USA shooting team member competing in more than 40 World Cup and international competitions, will join the WSF staff team October 1, 2014.

“Buddy brings exceptional talent, character, values and capability to WSF and our fundraising, development, and marketing initiatives. Buddy is no stranger to the WSF family, having actively participated and supported WSF's Sheep Show™ convention for ten years” said WSF President & CEO Gray N. Thornton.   “Buddy will direct our Ensuring the Future of Wild Sheep development and capital campaign, support our convention and other marketing programs and serve as our second in command. We are thrilled to build our staff capacity and leadership team with the addition of Buddy” added Thornton.

DuVall joined USA Shooting in 2004 as the director of marketing and fundraising, and then assumed the leadership role as executive director of the USA Shooting Foundation when it was formed in 2009. DuVall developed more than $7 million in sponsorships, contributions and donations to the Foundation during his tenure.

“I am excited to be joining the Wild Sheep Foundation team” said DuVall.  “My involvement and interaction over the years with WSF and their membership has always been rewarding. WSF is a conservation and industry leader and sets a mission-effectiveness example for all other conservation organizations to follow.

“We are confident that the addition of Buddy to our team will help drive our fundraising programs to the next level and beyond, helping WSF realize our strategic vision to be “…the best managed, most respected and most influential conservation organization in the world…” said WSF Chairman of the Board Marc C. Hansen.
