Dometic has entered into an agreement to acquire Front Runner Vehicle Outfitters, a provider of roof racks, load bars, storage solutions, and off-road accessories.
Front Runner Vehicle Outfitters serves the U.S., European, Australian, and South African markets with separate regional offices. The products are sold through its B2C channels and 1000 dealers. The company employees 320 full-time with its manufacturing facility near Johannesburg, South Africa.
Dometic has identified the vehicle-based outdoor market as a strong opportunity for growth. Front Runner Vehicle Outfitters aligns with its existing outdoor offerings of tents, coolers and mobile power solutions. The company operates in the Americas, EMEA and the Asia Pacific. It sells in approximately 100 countries, with a global distribution and dealer network. Dometic has approximately 6,500 employees worldwide and is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden.
The acquisition is expected to close in Q321.’
