Diesel has terminated its U.S. footwear licensing agreement with Global
Brand Marketing Inc., according to a report from Women's Wear
Daily.  Men's, women's and children's footwear distribution will
become part of the Diesel U.S. subsidiary, which is directly owned by
Diesel Group.

According to the fashion trade paper, Diesel said its decision to end
the agreement with Global Brand Marketing was intended to
“strategically develop Diesel's footwear business further,
consolidating and leveraging its product positioning and image
worldwide.”

Global Brand Marketing, based in Santa Barbara, is also the authorized
global footwear licensee of Nautica, 7 For All Mankind, Sean John and
Mecca, owns the Dry-shoD, NOMASS, Mehandi, and FunFlopps brands, 
and operates the the retail store chain Global Feet.
