Dick’s Sporting Goods plans to open a House of Sport in the Cherry Hill Mall in New Jersey in 2026. The news comes from Preit, the mall’s owner.

The 120,000-square-foot space will have a climbing wall, golf bays with TrackMan simulators, an outdoor track and field, and a multi-sport cage for baseball, softball, lacrosse, and soccer. The store will replace One Cherry Hill, a nine-story building constructed in the 1960s that occupies that mall corner.

Other new tenants who have signed to open at the property include Coach, Dr. Martens, Pop Mart, and Offline by Aerie.

“We are proud to welcome these outstanding retailers to the Cherry Hill Mall,” said Preit’s Chief Revenue Officer Joe Aristone. “The addition of Dick’s House of Sport, coupled with other sought-after retailers, reflects our strategic approach to capital allocation and our commitment to creating diverse, high-quality shopping experiences. These initiatives will strengthen the mall’s market position while improving tIhe overall performance and credit profile of this asset.”

In 2024, Dick’s closed the year with 19 House of Sport stores, opening seven in the year. The retailer announced plans to open 16 House of Sport stores in 2025 with a goal to have between 75 to 100 locations nationwide in operation by the end of 2027.
