Dick's Sporting Goods announced the latest version of its mobile application now rewards users for being active. The new “Move” feature of the Dick's Sporting Goods app allows users to connect to fitness tracking applications MapMyRun and Fitbit to earn Dick's ScoreCard points for achieving activity goals.
“We look to continuously find new ways for our mobile app to add meaningful value to the lives of our customers through shopping online, in-store and, now, by also rewarding them for being active,” said Rafeh Masood, vice president of customer innovation technology, sporting goods. “With this update to our app, our hope is to inspire and motivate our customers to stay active and encourage them to reach their personal goals by offering real savings for being active.”
Customers are encouraged to download or update the Dick's app and follow the in-app “Move” instructions to sync their Fitbit app or their MapMyRun app to their ScoreCard account. When connecting a tracker for the first time, customers will be awarded a special, one-time 100 ScoreCard points. Users then earn ScoreCard loyalty points for hitting mileage or step milestones.
