Dick's Sporting Goods, Inc. announced that Emanuel Chirico has been elected to the Company's Board of Directors.
Mr. Chirico currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation.
“We feel fortunate to add someone of Manny's stature to our Board,” said Edward W. Stack, Chairman and CEO. “His depth of understanding of the retail business and his financial expertise will add significantly to what is already a strong Board of Directors.”
Mr. Chirico joined Phillips-Van Heusen in 1993 as Vice President and Controller and was named to his current position in 1999. Prior to Phillips- Van Heusen, Mr. Chirico was a Partner at Ernst & Young, LLC.
