With well over 40% new growth at Deuter this brings with it new in house roles. John Herron who has been the organizing force behind customer service and shipping will take on the additional role of Marketing and Promotions coordination. He will work in tandem with What's UP Public Relations and Marketing to develop a consistent brand image and marketing campaign. Keith Patterson, National Sales Manager and wizard in many roles, will then be able to direct more energy toward Deuter's expanding market and rep force. This includes expansion into the dynamic and growing kid's market for Deuter's kid carriers.

Like Keith Patterson, John Herron brings his own bag of tricks to Deuter. John has spent years in the outdoor industry; guiding backpacking trips for the American Youth Foundation, working retail for Galyan's Trading Company, and acting as the Key Accounts Coordinator for Lowe Alpine. His diverse background makes him a perfect fit with the Deuter Team.

“With my degree in the field of visual arts I look forward to the challenges that lie ahead of me as the marketing lead for Deuter.” Herron is also taking on the added responsibility of remodeling the Deuter trade show booth. This summer will be phase one with new graphics, innovative displays and new configurations. In the summer of 2005 Deuter will unveil a larger and entirely new and dynamic trade show space to reflect the constant innovations at the company.

Herron will have his hands full, which means it won¹t be long before Deuter is looking for more multi-skilled outdoor aficionados to join their team. In addition to changes in- house, Deuter is pleased to announce that they have added Jim Rosensteel to the Bike rep force. Rosensteel will handle the Mid Atlantic, (VA, WV, MD, DC, and DE) –one of Deuter¹s strongest outdoor arenas.
