Delta Apparel Inc. announced that it has been included in the preliminary list of additions to join the broad-market Russell 3000 Index after market close on June 28, 2019. The various Russell indexes are reconstituted annually to reflect the 4,000 largest US stocks based on total market capitalization.

Membership in the Russell 3000 Index means automatic inclusion in either the large-cap Russell 1000 Index or small-cap Russell 2000 Index as well as applicable growth and value style indexes. The Russell indexes are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as benchmarks for active investment strategies. Approximately $9 trillion in assets are benchmarked against the Russell indexes.

Robert W. Humphreys, Delta Apparel Inc.’s chairman and chief executive officer, commented, “Delta Apparel’s inclusion in the Russell indexes is the result of our team’s hard work and execution on the initiatives we put in place to create value for our shareholders. We welcome the increased visibility the Russell indexes bring and believe it will allow us to communicate our growth story to a wider investor audience.”
