Shamrock Farms, the maker of the line of Rockin’ Protein beverages, announced that professional basketball player, DeAndre Ayton joined the company as an ambassador.

The number one overall draft pick out of the University of Arizona will join Team Rockin’ and be featured in the brand’s advertising, social media and public relations campaign.

“To compete against some of the best athletes means being at the top of my game,” said Ayton. “Rockin’ Protein helps me build and maintain muscle, boosts my recovery and it’s delicious. I’m excited to be working with Shamrock Farms and to be an official member of Team Rockin’.”

Fueled by Rockin’ Protein, Ayton is off to a blazing start in the pros, averaging a double-double with more than 15 points and 10 rebounds per game. Ayton is a physically gifted athlete who can score from both inside the paint and out on the perimeter, plus anchor the defense. As a freshman at the University of Arizona last season, Ayton was one of only three players in the nation to end the regular season averaging 20 or more points, and 10 or more rebounds per game.

The addition of Ayton helps expand Shamrock Farms’ and Rockin’ Protein’s longtime affiliation with the University of Arizona, after announcing a new partnership with Arizona Athletics in September. Rockin’ Protein is the official protein beverage of the Wildcats, while Shamrock Farms is its official milk partner.

“We’re excited to welcome DeAndre to Team Rockin’ and the Shamrock Farms family, he’s the perfect addition,” said Ann Ocaña, chief marketing officer for Shamrock Farms. “We’re proud to support a hometown athlete like DeAndre because he’s awesome both on and off the court. We’re looking forward to a great partnership.”

As the latest addition to Team Rockin’, Ayton joins professional football player A.J. Green and 5x World Champion ski racer Ted Ligety, along with other sports stars and fitness advocates who drink Rockin’ Protein to achieve their fitness goals. Rockin’ Protein is also a sponsor of the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team, and hundreds of top-tier universities and high schools across the country.
