During the 39th annual Colorado Ski Country USA Snow Conference hosted in Grand Junction, CO, last week, long-time Steamboat Resort employee Dave Crisler was honored with the Snow Conference Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Snow Conference Lifetime Achievement Award is awarded to an individual for their contributions, dedication and service to their profession and the ski industry and is voted on by the 25 members of Colorado Ski Country USA’s Snow Conference Committee, which is made up of snowmaking and management veterans from ski areas across the state.
Crisler will be retiring after a 50-year career with Steamboat Resort, most recently as the Director of Slope Maintenance for 24 years. He started his career in lift operations in 1969.
“Congratulations to Dave on a storied and successfully career,” said Melanie Mills, president and CEO of Colorado Ski Country USA. “This Lifetime Achievement Award reflects his commitment to his profession, mentorship and management of his department and younger team members and dedication to providing an excellent guest experience. We wish him well in retirement.”
