In response to the horrific destruction in the Philippines, Dansko will be sending 2,200 pairs of children's shoes to the Southeast Asian island nation.

“For us, giving back to the local and global community is a guiding principle and our relief effort for the Philippines is part of our ongoing partnership with Soles4Souls,” says Dansko Co-Founder, President and CEO Mandy Cabot. “We work with Soles4Souls because they are very effective in their efforts to reach people in need, and in this case by providing for the survivors and their families in the Philippines.”

Soles4Souls is a Nashville-based nonprofit group that distributes shoes to people in need across the U.S. and around the globe. At least 200,000 new pairs of shoes have already been committed to the efforts in the Philippines. The typhoon has devastated entire communities and personal property items – such as shoes – have been swept away. The provision of safe, sturdy shoes to children is one step of many in the long rebuilding process ahead.
