Dakine introduced the Carson Storch Signature Series, a two-piece apparel and accessory line for male riders. Designed in collaboration with professional mountain biker and Dakine team rider, Carson Storch, the line includes a long-sleeve, high-tech bike jersey and lightweight, moisture-wicking gloves for mountain biking. The design incorporates retro patterns and a Mad Excavator graphic, reflective of Storch’s roots in motocross and moving dirt with machinery in the Pacific Northwest throughout his career.
“Carson is pushing the limits of mountain biking on a daily basis, progressing his individual skills and the sport of mountain biking itself,” said Mountain Marketing Manager, Gabe Schroder. “From his roots in Bend, OR, Carson has helped develop the Oregon mountain biking scene by consulting with area trail builders, creating internationally acclaimed local events and inspiring others to get on their bikes. We’ve always been stoked to have him on the Dakine team and are even more thrilled to roll out this collection in collaboration with him.”
The Carson Storch Signature Series was designed with durability and performance in mind. The Thrillium Jersey features a streamlined fit. The 100 percent recycled polyester jersey incorporates Polygiene odor control technology to keep things fresh, and includes UPF 20 sun protection.
The Carson Storch Glove uses tactile Pittards goat leather on the palm for grip and bar feel that is also flexible.
“This design is really tied to my youth when I grew up racing and riding motocross. I was inspired by some of the early retro moto jerseys and sought to create a good balance of old-school retro moto with a modern, clean look,” said Storch. “My favorite part of the jersey is the Mad Excavator graphic, which my good friend, KC Badger, designed for me. I spend a good amount of time moving dirt in my backyard to build my own features and lines that I practice and film on, and this graphic represents that and my passion for creating my own course in my career and life.”
