Dæhlie, the leading Nordic apparel company in Scandinavia, hired Verde Brand Communications as the company’s agency of record for integrated media relations and brand communications.

Founded by cross country skier Bjørn Dæhlie in 1996, the brand has produced technical ski and performance training apparel for Nordic skiers for more than 20 years. The brand’s identity has evolved over time from a purely technical ski brand to a performance training and active lifestyle apparel brand. The brand’s new visual identity demonstrates its core values, aspirational messaging and position in the market. Dæhlie aims to reach broader consumer groups in the U.S. and North American markets and showcase its all-season, all-weather collections.

“Dæhlie is in the prime position to partner with Verde and create new opportunities for sustained long-term growth. Together with Verde, we are excited to bring an authentic Norwegian brand into new categories and to consumers,” said Andrew Kroese, North American sales manager.

Verde will work with the Dæhlie team to tell the company’s brand story, amplify trade and consumer exposure and assist in launching the brand further into the U.S. markets, specifically the cross country and winter sports apparel markets.

“Dæhlie has evolved over the past two decades and are developing collections of high-performance apparel that allow people to stay active and comfortable year-round, regardless of the activity,” said Kristin Carpenter-Ogden, founder and CEO of Verde. “Collectively, we’re excited about the opportunity to partner with such a brand with this caliber of product and brand heritage and look forward to building upon their momentum and sharing the brand with current and new audiences.”
