Cybex International, Inc. announced that the International Council on Active Aging(ICAA) has named its Trazer product as North America's Innovative New Piece of Equipment for active older adults.

Colin Milner, CEO of the International Council on Active Aging states, “The Trazer was selected by the panel from among many applications to receive the ICAA Industry Innovators Award, which looks for unique solutions to help older adults increase their physical activity. Improving balance and stability is an important part of fall prevention, and the Trazer is designed to achieve that goal.”

Paul Dolan, CYBEX director of business development stated, “This recognition reinforces our belief that Cybex|Trazer will play an important role in improving the lives of seniors throughout the world by addressing such critical functions as reaction to random stimulus, functional cardiovascular efficiency and the development of strength and power in a synergistic fashion.”

John Aglialoro, CYBEX chairman & CEO stated, “CYBEX is honored that the ICAA has recognized Trazer's innovation and far reaching capabilities. It is crucial as we age to remain active and remember the vital benefits that exercise has to all of us.”

The Trazer experience is delivered through a menu of over a dozen programs. Each program addresses one or more basic movement skills. These movement skills are often referred to as Activities of Daily Living, or ADL, and they include critical functions like: reaction to random stimulus, spatial awareness, agility, balance, lateral movement, vertical leap and functional cardiovascular efficiency. Whether in the form of games, drills or tests, Trazer programs can be customized in multiple fashions to best match the goals and capabilities of older adults, serious athletes, young people, and almost everyone in between.
