Wacoal Sports Science Corp. (WSSC), makers of CW-X Performance Conditioning Wear, has renewed its partnership with the United States Bobsled & Skeleton Federation (USBSF) as the team's official base layer supplier. The athletes will receive apparel from the CW-X Insulator and LiteFit lines, as well as financial support. The one-year agreement is effective immediately and will continue through Oct. 31, 2008. John L.A. Wilson, president/COO, of Wacoal Sports Science Corporation, and Darrin Steele, CEO of the USBSF, made the joint announcement today.
“CW-X is proud to continue our relationship with the USBSF,” said WSSC's Wilson. “Nothing demonstrates product performance better than its use by an Olympian. The USBSF provides an ideal platform from which to introduce the brand to millions of cold weather sports enthusiasts.” We're glad for the opportunity to support these athletes and the U.S. Olympic team.”
Steele added, “In sports like bobsled and skeleton the weather can change on any given day along with temperatures. Since the USBSF first started working with CW-X three years ago, their apparel has always prepared our athletes to compete against the best in the world under any type of conditions.”
The United States Bobsled and Skeleton Federation took home the silver medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics and have laid claim to 39 World Cup medals, six World Championship medals, four overall World Cup titles and one World Championship title.
