Stearns, Inc., which was part of the K2 Inc. sporting goods empire acquired by Jarden Corp. last year, has laid off more than 20 employees, including company president Paul Ebnet.  According to reports in the St. Cloud Times, the downsizing will be taking place over the next nine months.  Affected employees were informed of the changes in November.

The move comes as Scott Henrikson, a veteran consumer goods executive from Stearns’ parent company Jarden Corp., on January 10 was named SVP of sales for the Americas for Jarden's Coleman and Stearns brands.
