Carrera Sports USA has hired David Currier as its new General Manager. Currier’s duties will consist of overseeing all aspects of Carrera’s day-to-day functions and long-term goals, including sales, product, marketing, employee management and coordinating all aspects of the business with European distributors. Currier’s tenure will be effective immediately.

Currier comes to Carrera with an extensive background in both the snow sports and eyewear fields. Most recently, Currier has been the Director of Testing at Skiing Magazine, overseeing all aspects of hardgoods gear
testing and reviews. He also worked at Bollé Inc. as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for three years, managing the launch of the company’s worldwide branding initiative and overseeing all channels of distribution, nationally and internationally. Prior to Bollé, he held
the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Volant Ski Company.

Currier was also an accomplished professional ski racer and a well-known face in the ski racing world. He was a member of the US Ski Team from 1971-1978, including a spot on the US Olympic Alpine squad in 1972. He also is an active participant in the Snow Sports industry, being
twice-elected as the President of the World Professional Ski Racer’s Association, a commentator for ABC’s Wide World of Sports, and is a former member of the Snow Industries of America Research Committee.
