Crocs on Thursday opened its first store in the U.K. in Covent Garden. The London store is Crocs' second in the UK , following its retail debut in Sheffield in June, and the latest one in Europe after openings in Vienna, Helsinki and Amsterdam.
As part of the grand opening in Covent Garden's Neal Street, every customer was handed free Jibbitz – clip-on charms which fit in the shoes perforations. Outside, a selection of Croc Mammoths – the new winter model – was frozen inside a giant ice cube. The Mammoth has been emblazoned on the side of 50 London buses as part of a major advertising effort, according to London newspapers.
