With its Nov. 1 launch of the new Crocs Tone collection, Crocs has entered the fast-growing toning footwear category. The Crocs Tone collection, which is available at Dick's Sporting Goods and via the company's online retail site, utilize a three-layer design which the company says allows the wearer to “stimulate leg muscle activity while walking in affordable shoes that can be worn for multiple occasions.”

The company claims the Tone Technology, which was developed by Crocs' biomechanics engineering and product design teams, effectively tones the leg muscles by utilzing Crocs' proprirtary Croslite material in combination with the concealed three-layer design.

The Crocs Tone collection, built on patent-pending technology, is comprised of the Skylar Flat, a sling-back flat, and the Skylar Clog, a sleeker-version on the Crocs Classic clog, with the Skylar Sandal and Skylar Flip styles rounding out the collection in Spring 2011.
