Crocs, Inc. was recognized last week with two national awards for achievements in innovation and produ  ct development. On Monday, September 16, Dale Bathum, Crocs' chief product officer, was awarded the Gold Stevie for Product Development/Management Executive of the Year by the American Business Awards. The company's focus on innovation was honored on Friday, September 20, as Consumer Goods Technology (CGT) named Crocs Innovative Company of the Year during the annual CGT Consumer Goods Growth & Innovation Forum.

Bathum was awarded the Gold Stevie for Product Development/Management Executive of the Year by the American Business Awards for his achievements in product diversification and innovation. The American Business Awards are the nation's premier business awards program. More than 3,200 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of Stevie Award categories. Bathum was recognized by the American Business Awards for his role in helping Crocs shift from a one-shoe company to a global lifestyle brand that today offers more than 300 four-season styles.

Crocs was named Innovative Company of the Year award by CGT during the 2013 Consumer Goods Growth & Innovation Forum for its continued focus on global growth and product evolution. Each year, CGT's Innovation Awards honor consumer focused brands that have displayed excellence in bringing new products to market with a focus on successful innovation. Crocs was recognized by CGT due in large part to the successful launch of several new lines, including its Huarache collection and Crocs™ Golf with Hank Haney golf shoes. Beyond the introduction of new products, the company leveraged its core value of innovation to drive new consumer marketing campaigns and update its website and mobile shopping capabilities.
