Crocs, Inc. expanded its ‘Old Crocs. New Life’ shoe take back program. All Crocs retail and outlet stores in the U.S., excluding Hawaii and Puerto Rico, now have collection boxes for customers to drop off Crocs shoes in any condition.
Alternatively, Crocs shoe owners in the U.S. can log on to the Crocs site to receive a no-cost mail-back kit to return shoes for their next life. By participating in the program, customers contribute to a more sustainable future and receive a one-time 10 percent discount on Crocs products, in-store or online.
“We are expanding our ‘Old Crocs. New Life’ program, taking learnings from last year’s pilot and working to create an even bigger impact together with our fans,” said Deanna Bratter, VP and global head of sustainability at Crocs, Inc. “The growth of this program is an exciting continuation of our efforts to address the environmental and social challenges faced by the footwear industry and ultimately make a difference by keeping shoes on feet and out of landfills.”
The program’s expansion follows “encouraging results” from the pilot Crocs launched in October 2023. Gently used Crocs shoes will be donated to Soles4Souls. Crocs repurposes the material from unwearable shoes, including upcycling, into new Crocs shoes.
