Pacific Cycle Inc., in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, is recalling about 14,000 Mongoose mountain bicycles after receiving two reports that the frames of the Mongoose aluminum 20-inch wheel “D-XR AL” mountain bicycles broke, injuring the riders. They were sold for about $99 between September 2003 and March 2004.

Pacific Cycle was acquired earlier this year by Canada's Dorel Industries.

The CPSC also announced last week that approximately 15,000 air hockey tables made by Valley Dynamo, a Brusnwick subsidiary, are being recalled because of safety concerns. The recall covers three models that have a blower motor under the table with an opening big enough that a child's finger could fit inside.

One child has reportedly crawled under a table and received a minor injury after sticking his finger in the opening, according to the CPSC.

The recall covers the Arctic Flash, Arctic Wind and Air Elegance tables that were sold for between $1,000 to $2,200 at sporting good and other stores since 1994.
