Cotopaxi hired two outdoor industry sales veterans to lead the company’s wholesale sales team, signaling an investment into the brand’s growth under CEO Damien Huang.

Joining the team in August are Jody Carlson as VP of global wholesale and Kari Larsen as director of North American wholesale.

Most recently, Carlson was sales director at Smartwool for over a decade, “growing the Smartwool REI business three times during his tenure” and will continue establishing key relationships for Cotopaxi’s wholesale business growth. Carlson lives in Park City, UT.

Larsen joins Cotopaxi after 20 years working for The North Face, most recently as a sales director. Larson began her career as an external sales rep for TNF, then ran her own sales agency representing TNF in the Rockies region. She brings a wealth of experience in outdoor specialty, including with buying groups, including Grassroots Outdoor Alliance. Larson lives in Denver,CO.

“We are excited to add such great sales leadership to the Cotopaxi team,” said James Hampton, chief revenue officer at Cotopaxi. “Their collective experience of building and leading successful sales programs will propel our Wholesale channels through this next phase of strong growth into new key markets and wholesale partner channels.”
