COSCO International, the giant Chinese owned container shipping line, increased its shipping revenues by 628% to HK$8,078,336,000 ($1.04bn) in 2010 as container shortages and slow steaming continued to delay shipments from China.

As a result of global economic recovery and reactivation of international trade, profit before income tax from shipping services increased by 26% to HK$409.9 million ($52.7mm).
