Converse Inc. unveiled its new Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II with a global launch in its hometown of Boston. On Thurs, July 23, guests gathered at the Cruiseport, a World War I era warehouse in South
Boston.

The launch presentation, led by Converse President
and CEO Jim Calhoun, was delivered to more than 130 members of the media
and special guests from around the world. Those in attendance received a
first look at the innovative new sneaker – a contemporary addition to
the Chuck Taylor family – designed to support the “always-on” creative
lifestyle.

In addition to the live unveiling of the new Chuck II,
Richard Copcutt, VP and GM, Converse All Star,
gave guests an inside look at the unique consumer obsession that fueled
the creation of the Chuck II, including the hours Converse spent living
alongside artists and musicians. Converse Vice President and Creative
Director of Global Footwear Bryan Cioffi helped the crowd get their
hands (and feet) on the Chuck II, with a demonstration and subsequent
wear test, detailing the sneaker’s innovative new features including
Nike Lunarlon technology and premium details.

The
Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II is designed to meet the demands of
the creative lifestyle and built for the next generation of
self-expression. The Chuck Taylor All Star II combines new
details including a Nike Lunarlon sockliner, nonslip padded tongue,
super soft micro-suede lining and a premium canvas. While dialed-up
details include the on-trend high foxing, monochrome matte eyelets,
tonal pinstripes and statement embroidered All Star patch. The new Fall
2015 Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II sneaker makes its debut on
Tuesday, July 28, for a suggested retail price of $70 USD (ox) and $75
USD (hi), at Converse retail stores, select retailers and online at
Converse.com, in black, white, red and blue.
