Confluence Watersports recently appointed John
Bergeron as the company’s new President and Chief Executive Officer. Bob
Sharp has been the acting CEO since May of 2002 and will continue in his
position as a principal with American Capital Strategies, the majority owner
of Confluence Watersports.
Bergeron was most recently the President and COO of Thermos LLC. In his
three years at Thermos, Bergeron increased market share, entered into new
trade channels, and significantly improved customer service and
profitability. Prior to Thermos, Bergeron held senior management positions
at Swiss Army Brands, Forschner Enterprises, a venture capital firm, and the
Wenger Genuine Swiss Army Knife Company.
“Over the past few years Confluence has been working hard developing
innovative and market leading products,” said Bergeron. “Im looking
forward to perpetuate that momentum, and working on building stronger
customer service, forging new distribution channels and improving overall
profitability.”
Bergeron and his family will be relocating from Illinois to the Greensboro
area.
