The Coleman Company Inc. has received a 2009 Partner Award of Excellence from the Target Corporation. Awarded to a select group of vendor partners each year by the retail giant, Coleman says the award “signals a victory for Coleman's revamped sales protocol, which stresses expertise within its sales force and a proactive and intuitive approach to category management and logistics.”

In presenting this honor, Target recognized Coleman for its efforts in four key areas: consumer insight, which includes understanding the Target customer; new product innovation; strategic partnership as well as flawless execution and service.

“For the past 18 months, Coleman's Target Team has been very focused on delivering excellence at every level of execution,” said Josh Militello, Coleman's Director of Sales for National Accounts. “This -together with transparency and commitment from both sides of the table – has delivered strong results for both Coleman and Target. Capitalizing on this momentum to further develop the relationship will bring the partnership and results to next level.”

Coleman was dubbed “Best in Class” by Target, which was quick to recognize the relationship between the two brands.
