Cloudveil has announced three strategic business partnerships that, according to the company, will further strengthen their infrastructure and rep force. Cloudveil has formed a partnership with Sojitz Corporation of America and is relocating distribution for Fall 04 delivery to North Bay Distribution of Vacaville, Calif. Additionally, in the Rocky Mountain region, outdoor industry veteran Scott Sutton joins Kirk Haskell to represent the Cloudveil line.
“Every summer for the past few years we have stepped it up and improved our infrastructure and communication with dealers to keep pace with growing demand,” states Brian Cousins, Co-Founder and President, “this year is no different.” Cousins continues, “Our relationships with both Sojitz and North Bay will help improve our front end supply chain management and inventory throughput and Kirk and Scott combine to form a great new sales team in the Rockies.”
Sojitz Corporation is a multi-billion dollar global trade management firm that assists companies in the management of the front end of the supply chain and is credited with facilitating the growth of industry giants Nike and Columbia. “We have always relied on key partnering with third-party experts to facilitate growth, “explains Michael McGregor, VP of Operations, “working with Sojitz provides immediate scalability, and better allows us to manage our production, operations and financial resources.”
The partnership with North Bay Distribution will accelerate our inventory turnaround, given the West Coast location, and allows us to extend our same-day-shipment hours to 3:30PM. North Bay is a logistics provider that has an excellent history with garment companies and like Cloudveil, is committed to second-to-none customer service. Partnering with North Bay, we will make solid progress as we continue our effort to be the easiest company in the outdoor industry with which to do business.”
In the Rockies, Scott Sutton joins Kirk Haskell to represent the Cloudveil brand. Sutton formerly worked for Alpine Sales, Inc., where he represented Marmot, Garmont and K2. Prior to repping, Sutton worked as hard goods buyer at Neptune Mountaineering, in Boulder, Colo. thus bringing a wealth of knowledge and insight to the Rockies Rep team.
