ClassPass, the leading membership to the world’s largest fitness network, will be expanding its product portfolio and entering the live-streaming video space with the launch of ClassPass Live, a standalone subscription option for at-home workouts. ClassPass Live includes instructors, programming and technology that are proprietary to ClassPass and incorporates heart rate training for engaging workouts aimed at helping members reach their fitness goals.
“At ClassPass we’re flexing our technical capabilities to push the future of fitness, especially as it relates to interactive, immersive experiences – nowhere is that more evident than with ClassPass Live. We’ve leveraged our unparalleled data assets and reviews to create one-of-a-kind, live programming anchored in heart rate training that’s unlike anything else on the market,” said Fritz Lanman, ClassPass CEO. “By expanding into an at-home digital product, we’re able to offer existing members more value and flexibility in how and when they work out while simultaneously bringing studio fitness inspired workouts to more people nationwide.”
ClassPass Live is the latest example of the company’s commitment to launch inspiring products, doubling-down on sophisticated technology to bring fitness to everyone, everywhere by connecting members to a broader range of fitness activities that align with their varied needs and goals.
“Expanding into live-streaming and original programming is a natural extension of our brand as it offers members even more ways to work out and stay active,” said Payal Kadakia, ClassPass founder and executive chairman. “We’ve been able to produce a high-quality, motivating fitness experience that recreates the magic of studio fitness at home while also providing another touchpoint for our community to engage with one another.”
With the introduction of ClassPass Live, the company is now positioned to be a prominent player in the three fastest growing fitness verticals in its pursuit of being the destination for all things fitness. ClassPass is already the leader for connecting people to a variety of studio fitness experiences, and more recently gyms, and the addition of live, at-home video workouts is the next extension of providing access to products and experiences that meet members wherever they are in their fitness journey.
ClassPass Live will be available starting early 2018. A subscription to the service will be priced at an introductory rate of $10 a month for existing ClassPass members and $15 a month for new members, plus a starter kit.
