Classic Bass, which provides information to tournament anglers in the Midwest, hired Mark Schutz to serve as operations manager. Schutz will be tasked with growing the sponsor portfolio for Classic Bass, as well as handling the management of Classic Bass events during the 2017 schedule.

“The growth we’ve seen this past year in our audience, and their response to the content we’ve been providing them, has been exceptional,” stated Scott Bonnema, owner of Classic Bass. “Now is the time to be partnering with companies in the fishing industry and businesses that want to reach the dedicated audience base we have. Mark has more than 28 years of fishing knowledge when it comes to developing key partnerships, and this is what Classic Bass needs to take that next step.”

Schutz has served as president of Full Throttle Outdoors for 10 years and has experience in running its tournament circuit, corporate fishing events and charity events such as the Al Linder Minnesota Teen Challenge. He also has the skill set of developing beneficial partnerships between organizations and fishing companies looking to market their products and brands to devoted anglers. Schutz operated a guide service on Mille Lacs and Lake Minnetonka for 20 years and is a founding board member of the Mille Lacs Smallmouth Alliance.

“I’m honored to be given this opportunity to join the Classic Bass team because Scott has been a friend and mentor for more than 25 years” said Schutz. “I’m excited about what we have coming up for 2017, and what we’ll be able to provide to anglers and companies across the Midwest.”

Providence Marketing Group will continue to grow the Classic Bass brand and website via the development of content for the Classic Bass website and social media outlets. “Having the Providence Marketing Group team on board this past year resulted in Classic Bass taking a step forward in terms of the content we can offer,” stated Bonnema. “We have now rounded out the team with Mark, and I’m very excited to see what the next year will bring for Classic Bass.”
