Jim Moss, TAPS board member, recently contacted The B.O.S.S. Report wishing to clarify some statements attributed to him in the article New Paddlesports Show Creates Dustup at OR Summer Market, published in BOSS_0930.
Moss said that he said that Canoe and Kayak Magazine would probably cancel their show if Nielsen made certain concessions. while BOSS reported that he said Canoe and Kayak Magazine will cancel their show. “I do not, did not, have not and would not speak for Canoe and Kayak on this issue,” wrote Moss.
Moss also said that TAPS never came out in support of the show. He wrote, “The Trade Association of Paddlesports had a board meeting at the show after learning of the Canoe & Kayak show. That was it. No vote, no support, nothing else was done and no vote or support of any type was issued by the board or TAPS.”
