City Sports will open its 22nd retail location in New York City’s financial district on Tuesday, March 26. Coming on the heels of the successful re-location of their Chestnut Hill store in Boston, MA, this newest store will mark City Sports third location in New York City, NY.
The new financial district store, located at 50 Broadway, will be City Sports largest retail location to date, showcasing nearly 11,000 sq feet of selling space. Known for its specially curated selection of athletic apparel, footwear and equipment, City Sports aims to continue to be the ultimate shopping destination for the urban athlete. This new location will mark City Sports first NYC downtown location, as they continue to target growth in New York.

The new space at 50 Broadway will feature two floors of top of the line athletic gear including a new and expanded women’s department which will incorporate an updated pant wall and one of the most comprehensive sports bra collections providing over 30 styles to shop. The shoe floor will be a key focal point of the new location sporting over 300 styles of footwear and a full staff to perform customer gait analysis and custom fittings. Other key highlights will include a full service Racquet Sports department that will offer demo racquets and free stringing for City Sports Insiders. Additionally, the store will feature an open floor plan to allow for easier navigation as well as iPads, which will be exclusively available for customers to shop or research products at citysports.com.
City Sports plans to celebrate its opening on Thursday, March 26, with a grand opening party at 5:30pm. The first 100 customers through the door will receive a gift bag containing a $10 store gift card, additional City Sports giveaways, and one lucky winner will receive the grand prize: one free pair of shoes a month, for one year. Additional festivities will include a 5K fun run sponsored by Mizuno, free raffles for over $1,000 in City Sports merchandise, a DJ and refreshments.
