Cisco Athletic, a manufacturer of custom team uniforms, has added flag football jerseys to its athletic wear product offering.
The company said flag football has always been thought of as a backyard sport, but with more and more competitive leagues forming every year, the contact football alternative has reached critical mass. In addition to becoming a recreational phenomenon, flag football has also proved to be a valuable off-season training mechanism for its traditional brother.
Unlike traditional football uniforms, however, flag football jerseys are specifically designed to be worn without pads for a more athletic fit. The jerseys can be designed with 2-color lettering and numbering to meet any team's needs.
“We've been producing flag football uniforms sporadically for years, so we're excited to be able to formally introduce them into our product line,” said Wayne Capaletti, president of Cisco Athletic. “Like all of our custom sports apparel, our flag jerseys are made in the USA, from the highest quality materials and tailoring.”
