The Chill Foundation, which was founded by the founders of Burton Snowboards, has named June Heston as its executive director.

Chill was founded by Jake Burton and his wife Donna in 1995 with the goal of changing lives through snowboarding. Every year, Chill teaches over one thousand underserved kids from dozens of cities around the world how to snowboard, using the sport to motivate kids to accomplish goals they never thought possible.

”Chill is very close to our hearts, so both Jake and I wanted to find an executive director for the program who shares our passion for Chill, ” said Donna Carpenter, Co-Owner of Burton Snowboards. “June brings over 25 years of experience with non-profits, and we are very confident that her leadership skills, passion and dedication to making a difference in kids’ lives will only enhance Chill’s efforts.”

Prior to joining Chill, Heston served as the President/CEO of the non-profit Vermont Family Network, where she managed four programs and established a diversified fundraising program. Before heading up the Vermont Family Network, Heston worked at the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Vermont for ten years where she served as the President/CEO.

“I am thrilled to be joining an organization with such a strong reputation for changing the lives of young people all over the world,” said Heston. “It is exciting to know I will be working with a dedicated team and committed board members to continue to change the lives of underserved youth.”
