Charles River Apparel announced their nationwide launch of Charles River Sport, their shirt line made exclusively with TopShield moisture management fabric.
“We didnt make this decision lightly,” says president and owner Barry Lipsett. “We know how admired we are as being the experts in outerwear however we couldnt ignore the requests from our customers to apply our expertise to shirts. This was a personal project of mine that I started several years ago and I insisted that the moisture management properties, fabric hand feel and styling had to be perfect or I wouldnt introduce it. Now after 3 years of research and development, fabric testing, focus groups with distributors and end users – and even a regional test launch – I am proud to say that the Charles River Sport line of moisture management apparel is clearly the best in the industry today.”
Charles Rivers new moisture management shirts consist of both solid and color blocked polos as well as solid crew neck tees; all offered in both mens and womens complimentary designs. Each of these styles are exclusively crafted with TopShield moisture management fabric to make you look and feel great no matter what the activity. TopShields soft polyester pique fabric is lightweight, supple and breathable. It is perfect to wear by itself in warm climates or as a layering piece during cold weather activities to wick the chilling perspiration away from your skin. TopShield fabric is also perfect for either screen print or embroidery.
Charles River Apparel is fortunate to exclusively secure use of TopShield fabric in their Charles River Sport line. One of the reasons the fabric is so popular is that TopShield is not a treatment applied to the fabric, instead TopShields wicking properties are built directly into the fibers structure. Wash after wash the fabric retains its wicking properties. Charles River Apparels research also indicated that moisture management fabrics need to be very easy to care for. This is where TopShield has a key advantage as it is very easy to care for – requiring no dry cleaning or special handling. Simply wash the shirts in cold water and toss into the dryer.
