Chaos Headwear will be the official
headwear supplier for the USASA Nationals
held at Copper Mountain, Co running from April 5th- 10th 2009. This is the fourth year for Chaos as the
official USASA headwear supplier.
Close to 1600 snowboarders from all over the country and
10,000 spectators will descend on Copper Mountain this week for the
2009 USASA National Championships. All participants and
staff will receive a Chaos Nationals beanie, the largest single event
sponsored by Chaos.
Riders in the US face off for National
Title honors with top winners earning $1,000 in cash purses. The USASA
regional season begins November 2009 and consists of 500 events at over
100 resorts in 33 regions throughout the United States. The efforts of
the USASA and its regions have enabled men and women, and boys and
girls, of all ages to participate in its organized events.
The
USASA National Championships has been called the World's Largest
Snowboard Competition. In 2009, it can now lay claim to the World's
Best Snowboard Competition. “USASA Open Class has always been the
stepping-stone for many of the sport's top professional competitors. In
order to step up the level of competition, the 2009 USASA Open Class
Halfpipe and Slopestyle Events will be 3 Star TTR (Ticket to Ride)
events. TTR is the premiere international competition series in the
world featuring hundreds of events across the globe culminating in a
final TTR World Champion.” explains Jon Casson, Vice President, of the
Executive Board of USASA.

World Snowboard Federation is just another way to show the world that
the USASA is one of the strongest organizations in snowboarding. We
have some really talented kids in our regions and this is a great
opportunity for them to compete with the best in the business,” said
Jason Toutolmin, USASA Executive Director.
The
USASA is a grassroots snowboard organization with over 5000 members who
compete in more than 500 events in 36 regional series across the US.
