Chaco has named Jeff Busic as the company’s new director of sales. Effective immediately, Busic will oversee all aspects of sales for the Paonia, Colorado-based Chaco and Ulu Boot footwear brands. A former retail manager with REI, Busic has been an integral member of the Chaco sales team since 2004. He served as assistant sales manager until July 2006, at which point he took over the management of high-level Chaco sales initiatives. Under his leadership, Chaco sales experienced a 23% increase in 2006 and the company named Busic Employee of the Year in recognition of his efforts.

As part of Chaco’s Senior Management team, Busic will manage the internal Sales Department, Customer Service and the Chaco and Ulu sales force. His extensive background in strategic planning and tactical sales efforts will help successfully drive future Chaco product lines into new categories, and continue to support the company’s leadership position in outdoor performance footwear.
