The much hyped rivalry between the Celtics and Lakers largely lived up to its status at the cash register, according to retail point-of-sale data compiled by SportScanINFO. NBA sales jumped low-teens for the trailing four-week period in dollars with average selling prices up low-singles. Not surprisingly, the Celtics-Lakers pairing in the Finals led to strong share increases for both teams as well as strong Jersey sales for Kevin Garnett and Kobe Bryant.

Overall, Jersey sales grew in the low-singles for the four-week period for the NBA, while T-Shirts were up strong double-digits.

For the week of the finals, Garnett had the top two best selling jerseys when measured in dollars, while Kobe had spots three through seven. Paul Pierce had the eighth best-selling jersey for the week.
