Umbro Extends South America License

Iconix Brand Group, Inc. announced a ten-year extension of Umbro’s licensing agreement with long-time partner Grupo Dass. The renewal gives Grupo Dass the continued license to design, manufacture and distribute Umbro performance and lifestyle apparel, footwear and equipment in Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay through 2035.

NRF Forecasts Holiday Sales Will Grow Between 3.8 And 4.2 Percent

The National Retail Federation said it expects holiday retail sales during November and December to increase between 3.8 percent and 4.2 percent over 2018 to a total of between $727.9 billion and $730.7 billion. The numbers, which exclude automobile dealers, gasoline stations and restaurants, compare with an average holiday sales increase of 3.7 percent over the previous five years.

Wolverine World Wide’s Debt Rating Outlook Lowered To Negative 

S&P Global Ratings revised its debt ratings outlook Wolverine World Wide to negative from stable. The negative outlook reflects the potential for a downgrade if the company’s leverage is sustained at or above 3x. This could occur if the company’s share repurchase plan is accompanied by operating performance that is weaker than S&P expected. 

Skechers Signs Clayton Kershaw

Skechers announced that it’s teaming up with Los Angeles Dodgers all-star ace Clayton Kershaw on a new multi year partnership. The popular pitcher will appear in global marketing campaigns for Skechers men’s performance and athletic lifestyle footwear set to launch in 2020.
