From the very beginning, Carhartt has existed to serve and protect the hardworking people. That’s something that will never change.

“Over the past couple weeks, we have assembled our Crisis Management Team to determine what actions we must take to navigate these uncertain times. We have closely followed the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). We have been taking appropriate measures and based on the continued information we have received.

“We are closely monitoring the situation day-by-day and working to make the best decisions for our entire Carhartt family. We look forward to sharing updates on this page and thank you for your understanding and continued support.

March 18, 2020 | Compensating Associates
We want to assure our consumers that during these uncertain times, we are compensating all of our associates so they can keep focusing on things that matter most – their health and family. We thank you for being as concerned about them as we are. Carhartt has had the back of hard-working people for over 130 years, and our associates are some of the toughest we know.

March 16, 2020 | Rotating Paid Work Schedules at Distribution Facilities
Earlier today we implemented temporary rotating paid work schedules in our manufacturing and distribution facilities to encourage social distancing among our associates. While there will still be a number of associates working to fulfill orders, rest assured we are upholding all social distancing guidelines, as the facility occupies nearly one million square feet. We are continuously monitoring the situation and will adjust as needed.

March 15, 2020 | Temporary Store Closings

We made the decision to temporarily close our stores beginning March 15th. We understand you depend on us 24/7, however, our focus must remain on the health and well-being of everyone who walks through our doors. As a result, we are encouraging customers to visit or their favorite local Carhartt retailer for their product needs.

March 13th, 2020 | Our Corporate Office
As a precautionary measure and to help encourage social distancing, we have asked our associates at our corporate offices in Dearborn, Mich. to work remotely. We are evaluating these guidelines weekly and will continue to make decisions in the best interest of our teams.”
