Carhartt announced it hired Susan Hennike as chief brand officer reporting to Linda Hubbard, president and chief operating officer of Carhartt.
As Chief Brand Officer, Hennike will lead the development of multi-year brand strategies across matrixed business units for the company. She will oversee and collaborate with Carhartt’s product, brand and strategy teams. Her vision for global brand building will help shape the company experience for consumers and employees while identifying new opportunities to advance the heritage brand.
“Susan has an incredible reputation of growing emerging and established apparel brands across diverse audiences and reaching consumers creatively and authentically,” said Hubbard. “Her vision will help shape Carhartt’s future, improve the experience for all hardworking people and find new ways to reach those who have yet to experience Carhartt.”
Hennike joins Carhartt from Bombas, where she led the next evolution of the apparel brand’s multi-category strategy and vision as chief product officer. Before that, she spent 12 years at Hanesbrands, culminating as president of Champion North America, leading its brand growth, overseeing its DTC platform and driving creative content marketing. She has worked for other apparel brands, including Victoria’s Secret, Nike and Adidas International.
