Cardo Systems, the manufacturer of motorcycle communication devices, released its Packtalk Outdoor communication system for 2022/23, allowing groups to communicate hands-free, on the go, without internet or cell service.
Cardo’s Packtalk Outdoor, uses the company’s Dynamic Mesh Communication (DMC) technology, which allows skiers, snowboarders and outdoor sports enthusiasts to communicate with up to 15 people via a hands-free, always-on, flexible group intercom system. It can attach to helmets with mounting solutions for backpacks and hydration pack straps, with a battery life of up to ten hours in cold and hot conditions (continuously operated at temperatures as low as -20 °C). Users can communicate up to .62 miles between one another and up to 1.86 miles in a group of five or more.
“We’re stoked to release the new Packtalk Outdoor on the heels of receiving a Best in Show award at Outdoor Retailer, and just in time for the snow to start falling,” said Cardo Systems Director Bobby Ali. “This is a true game-changer for winter sports and outdoor activities, and it’s the world’s best sports communicator. We’re eager to unveil this new product to our current users and to the adventurers around the world who are ready to connect with one another in an entirely new way.”
