Canari Cyclewear hired Andy Jasper to replace Erik DeKold as national IBD sales manager. Jasper will be responsible for expanding Canari Cyclewear's business opportunities throughout the United States with the help of their outside rep force and inside sales team.

Dekold has accepted a promotion to Canari’s custom sales director.

Jasper, an avid mountain and road cyclist, surfer, and outdoor enthusiast, moved to the San Diego area 10 years ago in search of the ideal weather for outdoor activities.  Shortly after arriving in Southern California, he began his career in the cycling industry as an inside sales rep for, Speedplay, Inc.  Given his strong work ethic and passion for the sport of cycling, he quickly worked his way up within the company. He eventually became Speedplay’s Sales and Customer Relations Manager, where he was responsible for managing the sales and daily operations.  Over the years, Jasper has established a track record of success training, cultivating, and managing both inside sales staff and independent outside sales representatives.

“With the wealth of experience Andy brings to the table and our strong IBD growth in the past few years, we are excited to watch this segment of our business continue its positive momentum,” said Scot Robinson, Canari Cyclewear’s President.

DeKold, meanwhile, will shift his focus in coming months from IBD sales management to custom team, club and shop sales and department management. This entails maintaining Canari's existing worldwide custom accounts while also finding new opportunities with the help of Canari's outside rep force and inside sales team, according to a press release.

DeKold has worked with Canari and their products in some capacity for the past 11 years. From managing a highly successful North Florida Canari stocking bike shop, to working as a sales rep for the brand covering parts of Florida, eventually accepting a promotion offer and moving to San Diego as its national sales manager, DeKold is as familiar with Canari as it gets.

“My experience working for or with Canari over the past decade has been nothing but a fantastic experience. It has been exciting to watch the company grow and improve year after year, and to know that I have been an integral part of that is extremely rewarding,” DeKold said.

Everyone at Canari Cyclewear is excited about the restructuring and dedicated focus DeKold will be able to provide considering the 25 percent to 30 percent growth that the brand has experienced each year over the past few years under his direction.

“Erik's product knowledge combined with his experience working with and being on teams will be a strong asset for growing our custom department and servicing our custom clientele,” said Scot Robinson, Canari Cyclewear’s president.
