CamelBak Products Inc. has expanded their commitment to the Recreational market by naming John Rounds Sales Manager and promoting Lea Morrison to Global Marketing Manager.

Both roles are structured to increase the resources dedicated to the Recreational business. As the company enters new markets, such as running, women’s, and hunting, Rounds and Morrison will be instrumental in supporting marketing, sales and distribution initiatives, while increasing their commitment to the core cycling, outdoor, and winter sports markets.

Rounds will provide regional management to the Eastern US and focus on a growing sales and distribution network for the running and hunting markets. “Our aggressive sales goals and projected growth expectations for 2004 demand increased physical presence in thriving territories,” stated Gardner Robinson, VP of Sales for CamelBak. “John is more than capable of fulfilling this need.”

Morrison will focus on both the domestic and international Recreational business, bringing her expertise in advertising, public relations, web communications, and market research to the table. “The accelerated growth of the Recreational line is requiring greater marketing and communication resources and Morrison is well suited for the job,” says Sky George, VP of Marketing for the company.

Both employees have a long-standing connection to the company. For the past eight years, Rounds has been an owner of True North Trading, an established agency that has represented CamelBak’s products in the mid-west territory. For the previous 5 years, Morrison has acted as the company’s Marketing Communications Manager, overseeing the MARCOM efforts for all three of the company’s divisions: Sports & Recreation, Government / Military and Industrial Safety.
