Camber Outdoors, the active-outdoor industries organization focused on equality for all women in the outdoors, added Arc’teryx and Patagonia as Peak Partners. This significant three-year contribution — above both companies’ membership dues to Camber Outdoors — will advance programs to support and accelerate women’s leadership and participation in the outdoors, from participant to CEO.

Arc’teryx and Patagonia join Burton, Active Interest Media and founding partner REI as Camber Outdoors Peak Partners. The REI Foundation’s Mary Anderson Legacy Grant established the Peak Partner corporate giving program in 2016 and matches partner support, dollar for dollar, in year one.

“We’re honored that Arc’teryx and Patagonia have increased their level of commitment to our work as Peak Partners,” said Deanne Buck, executive director of Camber Outdoors. “In order for the active-outdoor industries to stay globally competitive, we need to leverage the passion and innovation that’s ingrained in our companies with the diversity of thinking and people that will make our industries—and our brands—more attractive and relevant to women.”

“Arc’teryx is excited to partner with Camber to push the envelope on creating a workplace that is motivating, open and supportive for all employees,” said Jon Hoerauf, general manager and president of Arc’teryx. “We not only want Arc’teryx to be known for creating amazing products – we want people that work in all fields to look to us and our industry as world-leading in providing career opportunities for women.”

“We are proud to become a Camber Outdoors Peak Partner and to deepen our commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive and diverse outdoor industry,” stated Rose Marcario, president and CEO of Patagonia. “Everything that we care about is at stake right now and it is imperative that we come together like never before. We live in an interconnected world, and I really believe that diverse voices, experiences, and people at the leadership table are a big part of winning this fight.”

Both Hoerauf and Marcario have also signed the Camber Outdoors CEO Pledge, a collective commitment from more than 60 industry CEOs to elevating women’s leadership a strategic and visible business priority.
